This grape originated in S.A. as a cross pollination between Pinot Noir and Cinsault. Here we refine the wine in the cellar by pressing off the skins early to avoid over extracting. The result is a wonderful wine that has a potpourri and berry aroma. The palate has notes of pomegranate and raspberry with an unmistakable velvet soft full body. Neutral French oak for 5 months. Aromas of brambleberry preserve, toast, graham cracker and crème brulee invite you into this bright red wine. Tastes of plum, kiwi, leather, and ginger follow. It has round full tannins and a long crisp finish.
