2024 Parkers Reserve Pinot Noir- Limited / New Release
Pale ruby in color, this Pinot opens with fresh farm-stand cherries and strawberries, layered with soft vanilla and a hint of oak. Ripe cherry and strawberry flavors follow, along with earthy notes and a touch of dried tobacco leaf. The mouthfeel is elegant and smooth, fading gently from fruit into spice.
This grape originated in S.A. as a cross pollination between Pinot Noir and Cinsault. Here we refine the wine in the cellar by pressing off the skins early to avoid over extracting. The result is a wonderful wine that has a potpourri and berry aroma. The palate has notes of pomegranate and raspberry with an unmistakable velvet soft full body. Neutral French oak for 5 months. Aromas of brambleberry preserve, toast, graham cracker and crème brulee invite you into this bright red wine. Tastes of plum, kiwi, leather, and ginger follow. It has round full tannins and a long crisp finish.
